Testimonials
As Actress:
“Outstanding... A masterly performance"
Jill Lawrie, Remotegoat
"Zoie Kennedy delivers a powerful performance that will leave you stunned"
The Herald ****
"Zoie Kennedy lays the ghost of Julie Walters to rest ... The performance charts beautifully Rita's complex voyage of discovery, that delicate balance of innocent excitement of spirit and tough, shrewd Scouse instinct for the bogus or pretentious. Zoie also gives the role an exhilarating physical dimension. Utterly compelling." Ian Barge, The Stage
Directorial & with Twice Shy Theatre:
"Plays the traditional cabaret structure like a choreographer using ballet technique, as a foundation for a meditation on failure, love and insecurity"
Gareth Vile, Vilearts, Glasgow ****
"Wonderful and terrifying. Like walking into Tim Burton's sex den!"
Nigel Barrett, Shunt
"Sexuality, puppetry and showmanship at their absolute best"
Laura Drake Chambers, Shotgun Carousel
"The most f*****d up thing I've ever seen"
Exit voxpop, Latitude festival
With The Shadow Travellers:
"They weave magic into everything they do. They transport. I could listen to them for hours."
Tom Fortes Mayer, The Freemind Project
"Brilliantly woven stories. So intuitive and alive."
